Overview

This role is responsible for the administration, development, and support of our ESRI GIS systems, aimed at improving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulations, enhancing responsiveness, and maintaining a competitive edge. The analyst collaborates with various business units, external vendors, and developers to identify requirements, investigate new technologies, assess opportunities, and streamline processes.



Key Responsibilities

Core duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating the technological goals of the organization by designing, analyzing, developing, implementing, upgrading, testing, troubleshooting, administering, and supporting our ESRI GIS systems.
  • Collaborating with business units, vendors, and developers to convert business requirements into effective technological solutions.
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the applications being supported.
  • Enhancing knowledge of IT methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Utilizing analytical skills to create various solutions for moderately complex challenges.
  • Complying with departmental values, policies, procedures, methodologies, and security or confidentiality standards.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with ESRI GIS tools.
  • Proficiency in database design and SQL querying.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with ESRI APR (including branch versioning), UPDM data model, Utility Network, and ESRI Mobile solutions.
  • Familiarity with programming or scripting languages.
  • Experience with Web Services (WCF, WebAPI, or REST).
  • Project management experience is a plus.
