Key Responsibilities- Administer, coordinate, and direct clinical nursing activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Supervise and manage a team of nursing professionals, including developing work schedules and assignments, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and support.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to guide medical nursing practice and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Monitor healthcare services to ensure quality care and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and achieve departmental goals.
- A graduate or higher level degree in nursing from an accredited professional nursing educational program.
- A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service, performing administrative, supervisory, and clinical nursing duties.
- Proficiency in supervisory and managerial abilities, including accountability, customer service, decisiveness, flexibility, integrity/honesty, interpersonal skills, oral communication, problem-solving, resilience, and written communication.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, making decisions quickly and effectively, and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. The selected candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
