Position Overview

Role: Medical Laboratory Assistant - Float

Location: Multiple locations in Manhattan and Staten Island

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide flexible support by floating to various locations as required.
  • Monitor and document patients' vital signs accurately.
  • Prepare patients for medical evaluations.
  • Ensure the sterilization of medical tools and equipment.
  • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations.
  • Collect and manage laboratory specimens.
  • Conduct phlebotomy procedures (blood draws).
  • Administer electrocardiograms (EKGs).
  • Maintain precise patient records.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Certification and a High School Diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with alternating Saturdays.

Compensation: Up to $25 per hour.
