Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Instructional Program: Assist in the supervision, care, and instruction of special needs students in the resource classroom, implementing plans for instruction, and monitoring student behavior during non-classroom time.
  • Provide Clerical Support: Assist teachers and staff with various administrative tasks, including data collection, test administration, and maintaining instructional materials and records.
  • Assist with Student Care: Support students with self-care activities, such as toileting, washing, changing diapers, eating, dressing, and grooming.
  • Implement Behavioral Plans: Implement behavioral plans identified in student IEPs, presenting and reinforcing learning concepts.
  • Monitor Student Behavior: Monitor students during assigned periods in various school environments, maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Perform Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical duties, such as screening phone calls, distributing materials, maintaining inventories, and processing documents.
Requirements
  • Age 16+
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Mandatory Employee Training: Complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.
