Salary: $12-$24, Commensurate with experience and certifications
Responsibilities:- Provide an exceptional fitness experience to students and members by leading group classes that meet and surpass industry standards.
- Ensure that members feel seen and welcome in each class.
- Punctually and prepared, making sure the room is prepared and participants are greeted at the start of each class.
- Safely and accurately demonstrate exercises and movements and actively monitor members' in-class performance.
- Execute post-class procedures, including cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing, to provide a safe and clean environment.
- Be approachable, professional, and engaging, providing excellent customer service.
- Knowledgeable and clear in communication, teaching a safe and effective class that provides options for various fitness levels and abilities.
- Inspire and energize by creating community within classes that is inclusive, fun, and supportive.
- Actively promote classes to retain and invite new participants.
- 0-1 Year of experience in personal training, small group training, or group fitness training.
- NCCA-accredited Personal Training or Group Fitness Certification.
- General knowledge/experience with kinesiology, exercise science, physical fitness, etc.
- Current CPR/AED Certification (which can be provided if needed, for a fee).
- Must hold current certification for applicable format: Specialty Formats (Zumba, High Fit, Mixxed Fit, etc.), Yoga certification, Cycle Certifications (Schwinn, Spinning, Beatboss, AFAA Indoor Cycling), or certified Group Fitness Instructor.
- Passionate about fitness, changing lives, and helping others reach their goals.
- Energizing and positive attitude.
- Promotes an upbeat, enthusiastic, high-energy environment.
- Experience in leading, communicating, coaching, teaching, or performing in front of a group of people.
- 1-2 years of Personal/Small Group Training or Group Fitness Instruction experience.
- Experience leading group classes at a specialty studio.
