We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Penn State College of Medicine. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our anesthesia department.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) with patient care, including the insertion of invasive monitoring devices and the transportation of high-risk patients.
- Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with the anesthesia team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience in a medical setting, preferably in an anesthesia department.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 500 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- CPR certification and ACLS candidate preferred.
