Anesthesia Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Penn State Health. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies
  • Assist anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) with patient care
  • Monitor and maintain anesthesia machines and equipment
  • Provide support to the anesthesia team during procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in anesthesia or a related field
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 500 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk 100% of the workday
