Job Overview

Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC) is a community-driven organization dedicated to empowering Boston residents. As an Associate Asset Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our 748 affordable housing units.

This part-time, in-person role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with residents in Roxbury, Dorchester, and Jamaica Plain. You will assist the Asset Management Coordinator in gathering and inputting data for property analysis, training staff on property management apps, and coordinating with property managers to resolve app-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct property analysis and gather data for reporting purposes.
  • Train and support JPNDC staff on the use of property management apps.
  • Coordinate with property managers to resolve app-related issues.
  • Develop training materials for residents and staff on app usage.
  • Assist in coordinating information flow between the RAMP Program Manager, property managers, and JPNDC staff.
  • Coordinate community room bookings and schedules.
  • Update tenant information, including rent and mobile vouchers.
  • Assist in preparing for board meetings of ownership entities.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Asset Management team or VP of Real Estate.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and track deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Smartsheet, or Googlesheets.
  • Spanish proficiency is a plus but not required.

Work Environment: This is a part-time, in-person role with flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends, as well as frequent site visits.

Compensation: Hourly rate: $20/hour, Expected hours: 10-19 hours/week
