Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinician IV

County of Siskiyou, CA is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Clinician IV to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services division, you will provide clinical and administrative psychiatric behavioral health services in a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy/counseling services to persons with serious mental illness or youth with serious emotional disturbance.
  • Assess, evaluate, and provide mental health and/or substance abuse services using culturally-sensitive, client/family-centered, strength-based, wellness and recovery models of service delivery.
  • Collaborate with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to develop treatment plans, coordinate treatment, case management, and discharge planning.
  • Develop and participate in training on various topics, including cultural competency, clinical practice, compliance, treatment planning, and case management.
  • Provide administrative support services, including outreach and information about how to access and apply for state and federal programs.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Marriage & Family Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Clinical Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or related field.
  • Valid California License as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in an acute or residential setting for Seriously Mentally Ill (SMI) Adult or Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED) youth, or outpatient public mental health setting providing mental health services to Transitional Aged Youth (TAY), adults, or older adults with serious mental illness or youth with serious emotional disturbance and their families.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Spanish-English bilingual skills.
  • Experience working with a multi-cultural client population.
