Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Clinician IV to join our team at the County of Siskiyou, CA. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and administrative psychiatric behavioral health services to individuals, families, and groups.
  • Assess, evaluate, and develop treatment plans for clients with serious mental illness or youth with serious emotional disturbance.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, social services agencies, and community organizations to provide comprehensive care.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on topics such as cultural competency, clinical practice, and treatment planning.
  • Provide clinical supervision to unlicensed clinicians and student interns.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Marriage and Family Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Clinical Social Work.
  • Valid California license as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in an acute or residential setting for Seriously Mentally Ill (SMI) adults or Seriously Emotionally Disturbed (SED) youth, or outpatient public mental health setting providing mental health services to Transitional Aged Youth (TAY), adults, or older adults with serious mental illness or youth with serious emotional disturbance and their families.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including ethnic and linguistic minorities.
  • Spanish-English bilingual skills.
  • Knowledge of cultural competency and trauma-informed care.
