Diagnostic Imaging Receptionist

The Diagnostic Imaging Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for patients, visitors, and family members in the Diagnostic Imaging area at South County Hospital. This role is responsible for managing the business aspects of patient visits, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Accurately register patients, verify insurance information, and collect co-payments and co-insurances.
  • Utilize various computer software products to manage patient data, including electronic health records (EHRs).
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling, point-of-service collections, and daily cash reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of EHR programs, medical terminology, and payer regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
