The Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing is a leading institution in nursing education and research, with a strong focus on community-based approaches to promoting health and wellness. Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Conducting and disseminating research that contributes to nursing knowledge and practice

* Teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in our undergraduate (BS) and graduate (MS, DNP, and PhD) programs

* Establishing an innovative research program and securing grant funding

* Contributing to the development of our undergraduate and graduate programs

* Working with a diverse group of colleagues and students to advance nursing knowledge and practice

Requirements

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

* A PhD degree in nursing or a related field

* Eligible California licensed Registered Nurse (RN) preferred

* Demonstrated evidence of an early-stage, focused research program

* Excellent oral and written communication and pedagogical skills

* Experience with didactic teaching in community health/public health nursing

* Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of colleagues and to teach and mentor a diverse student body
