Assistant Clinical Professor of Law

The University of California, Irvine School of Law is seeking a full-time clinical faculty member to join our esteemed team. As a Clinical Professor of Law, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of legal professionals. Our law school is committed to providing a unique and innovative approach to legal education, emphasizing experiential learning and interdisciplinary studies.
We are looking for a talented and passionate individual who can contribute to our clinical program, which focuses on advocacy to advance racial justice. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical teaching and a demonstrated history of outstanding teaching achievement. A J.D. or Ph.D. from an accredited institution is required, and at least five years of practice experience and two years of clinical teaching experience are strongly preferred.
As a Clinical Professor of Law, you will have the opportunity to create a new clinic or co-teach in one of our existing clinics, overseeing a docket that focuses on advocacy to advance racial justice. You will also assist in the planning and development of our overall clinical program. Appointment, merit, and promotion in the Clinical Professor of Law series require excellence in teaching and service, as well as outstanding and externally recognized contributions in research/creative activity in pedagogy and/or the discipline.
