Faculty Position in Historical Theology

Concordia University Irvine invites applications for a full-time faculty member in historical theology at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate theology courses, engage in theological scholarship, and contribute to the university community.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate theology courses in Concordia's Enduring Questions and Ideas Curriculum
  • Develop and teach upper division and/or graduate courses in historical theology
  • Engage in theological scholarship and research
  • Provide service to the university and represent the Lutheran theological tradition
Qualifications
  • Hold an earned doctorate in a field directly related to historical theology
  • Be currently ordained ministers in The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod or eligible for ordination
