Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Oregon State Hospital, a division of the Oregon Health Authority. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to individuals residing in our forensic psychiatric facility. Your expertise will be essential in administering medications, developing nursing plans of care, and responding to emergent psychiatric situations.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to individuals in our forensic psychiatric facility
Administer medications as ordered by the provider
Develop nursing plans of care and complete assessments
Respond to emergent psychiatric situations
Monitor staff work assignments and supervise staff to provide therapeutic, safe, and secure milieu

Requirements:

Must possess and maintain a valid and unencumbered Oregon Professional Registered Nurse license during the entire length of their employment
Experience working in mental health and conflict and crisis management is preferred
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple job responsibilities at one time
