ClearpointCo. is seeking a skilled Shop Drawing Illustrator to support their technical management team in creating precise and detailed shop drawings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction documents, including architectural, structural, MEP, and specifications related to canopy design and documentation.

This role involves collaborating with Project Managers and Engineers to produce fully engineered shop drawings, as well as working with the Drafting Manager to ensure projects are drafted according to schedule.

The estimated salary for this position is $52,000 per year ($25/hour) based on industry standards for similar roles in Clear Lake, Texas.

Duties of the Shop Drawing Illustrator include:

  • Interpreting and understanding construction documents
  • Working with Project Managers on RFIs
  • Reviewing sales proposals and startup documents
  • Producing accurate and detailed shop drawings in Revit
  • Creating material schedules
  • Facilitating the engineering process
  • Collaborating with Sales and Project Managers

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in drafting
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Solid knowledge of basic drafting skills
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret Construction Documents and Specifications

The company requires an Associate Degree in Drafting & Design Engineering Technology or a related field.
