Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Millwork Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Roomi Group Corporation. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires expertise in AutoCAD and strong spatial visualization skills.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings for millwork fabrication, reading and interpreting architectural and shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications, and collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.

This role also involves visiting construction jobsites to verify measurements and dimensions as necessary, performing material takeoffs and preparing cut lists, and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings for millwork fabrication using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Read and interpret architectural and shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings
  • Visit construction jobsites to verify measurements and dimensions as necessary
  • Perform material takeoffs and prepare cut lists
  • E nsure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the millwork industry
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software, with minimum 1-3 years of experience
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Strong spatial visualization skills and ability to work in both 2D and 3D
  • Proficiency in Excel, PDF manipulation, and other relevant software
  • Valid Texas Driver License
