Mental Health Technician Full Time Nights

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at Oceans Behavioral Hospital Hammond. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals struggling with mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Support nursing staff in maintaining a therapeutic environment and performing routine tasks
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as laundry, meals, and bathroom functions
- Monitor patient vital signs, weights, and intake/output documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Document patient observations, behavior, and vital signs accurately and timely
- High school graduate or equivalent with CNA certification or 6 months of prior bedside experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Physical and mental stamina to perform duties in a healthcare setting
