Heavy Equipment Technician

We are seeking skilled heavy equipment technicians to join our team at Crown Equipment Corporation, a leading manufacturer of lift trucks. As a heavy equipment technician at Crown, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of lift truck makes and models, including Crown and other leading brands. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment, perform planned maintenance, and maintain a service van and its inventory.
We are looking for technicians with a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines. You should have good written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Preferred qualifications include a technical degree, previous lift truck repair experience, welding skills, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment. Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and location. Location: Hammond, IN, US, 46320. Compensation and benefits package includes:

**Job Responsibilities:**
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other lift truck makes and models
- Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks
- Maintain a service van and its inventory
- Process paperwork after completion of each job
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines
- Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
