Job Summary

RUSHKids is seeking a Part Time Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team in Crystal Lake, IL. As a pediatric physical therapist, you will play a vital role in helping children achieve their full potential and overcome physical challenges. We value mentorship and a collaborative approach to care, making this an excellent opportunity for new graduates to grow and develop their skills.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with physical therapy needs, ensuring that care is medically necessary and well-documented.
  • Maintain open and respectful communication with colleagues, physicians, patients, and families, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Attend and participate in facility meetings as directed by the center manager, contributing to the success of our team.
  • Stay up-to-date with state practice acts and adhere to relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy.
  • Valid State Physical Therapy License/Registration required to start.
  • CPR certification is a must.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques, with a maximum dead weight of 50 pounds.
  • Capacity to walk, bend, stand, and reach frequently throughout the workday.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to evaluate, diagnose, and monitor patient needs, as well as maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to speak and hear clearly, ensuring effective communication with patients and colleagues.
  • Capacity to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
  • Fine motor skills for accurate reporting, charting, and handling diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
