Job Summary

The Lead Server is a key member of our catering team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of banquet services. This includes coordinating the service team to ensure that all catering events are well-organized and exceed the expectations of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of our menu offerings and any special items being served.
  • Customer Service: Provide quick, attentive, friendly, and professional service to banquet guests, communicating clearly with all customers.
  • Food Service: Ensure that food items are served at the proper temperature and immediately upon availability from the kitchen, as ordered by the customer.
  • Table Presentation: Ensure neat presentation of all ordered items, with no spill-over.
  • Table Management: Pre-bus tables and full bus tables when necessary during peak periods.
  • Availability: Maintain availability to work during many peak periods.
  • Beverage Management: Stock beverage stations when necessary (ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc).
  • Communication: Maintain high responsiveness to customer desires and requests, communicating effectively with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff to improve communication and coordination.
  • Team Support: Build and maintain knowledge regarding bar offerings to accurately answer patron questions, and support and guide other employees.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Three years of experience as a server, floor, or bartending supervisor in a la carte or private dining service.
  • Personality: High-energy, outgoing personality with strong professional, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of team leadership and motivation skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to set up and service details are a must.
  • Team Player: Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with members, employees, and guests.
