Position Overview

The Catering Lead Server plays a crucial role in assisting the Catering Manager with the daily operations of banquet services, which includes both table service and buffet setups. This position is responsible for coordinating the service team to guarantee that all catering events are executed seamlessly and that the expectations of clients are not only met but exceeded.

Compensation

This role offers an hourly wage starting at $20.00, plus tips.

Eligible part-time, seasonal, and internship employees can access a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. Additionally, employees earn one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu and any special offerings.
  • Deliver prompt, attentive, and professional service to banquet guests while ensuring clear communication with all patrons.
  • Serve food items at the appropriate temperature and immediately upon availability from the kitchen, as per customer orders.
  • Ensure all ordered items are presented neatly, avoiding any spill-over.
  • Assist in pre-bussing tables and fully bussing tables during peak service periods.
  • Be available to work during various peak times.
  • Restock beverage stations as needed (ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc.).
  • Exhibit high responsiveness to customer requests and desires.
  • Maintain a professional and tidy appearance at all times.
  • Facilitate communication with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff to enhance coordination and improve the dining experience for patrons.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of bar offerings to accurately respond to patron inquiries.
  • Provide support and guidance to fellow employees.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory role within a la carte or private dining service.
  • Dynamic, outgoing personality with strong professional, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Attention to detail in setup and service is essential.
  • A diplomatic team player capable of building relationships with members, employees, and guests.
