Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Business Unit Manager to lead our software and automation solutions. The successful candidate will develop strategic marketing plans to drive automation strategy, own revenue targets, and be a subject matter expert for automation and software within the marking and coding industry.
Key Responsibilities- Develop strategic marketing plans to drive automation strategy, including market segmentation, business case analysis, functional requirements, positioning, pricing strategies, and sustainable support plans for new automation and software products.
- Own revenue targets for Software and Automation solutions and participate in M&A activities.
- Be a subject matter expert for automation and software within the marking and coding industry to identify disruptive technology and business opportunities.
- Interface with design, support, commercial teams, and customers to translate market and customer needs into innovative automation solution sets.
- Promote the automation and software portfolio with frequent communication with the Sales force, including managing early market sales funnel and process transition to commercial teams.
- Perform Business Development activities in support of present and future customers and underserved markets.
- Manage market trends, segment analysis, and Voice of Customer interviews to needs requirements definition and concept development for automation and software solutions.
- Minimum of 5+ years business development experience in a B2B company.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a technical field. MBA or equivalent industry experience is an advantage.
- Track record of developing and launching new products as well as supporting existing products.
- Ability to think strategically about customer needs and business issues and how they translate into our products.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization and collaborate across functions.
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders across levels.
- The position involves approximately 25% travel and includes domestic and international travel.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees. The compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $114,000 USD per year, and the job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
