NICU Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate NICU Nurse to join our team at Madigan Army Medical Center. As a NICU Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care to patients with complex medical conditions, including respiratory distress, cardiac issues, and neurological disorders.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, including medication administration, wound care, and respiratory therapy.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, laboratory results, and other data to identify potential complications and take prompt action to prevent harm.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize care processes.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a NICU setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
