About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering major to join our Product Engineering department as a summer intern. This is an excellent opportunity to gain industry and/or organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments. Our team is responsible for assisting engineers with projects ranging from manufacturing support to new product introduction. As a summer intern, you will assist CVI staff on various projects, tasks, and activities relating to your area of study or course work. You will perform diverse and challenging tasks to gain valuable hands-on experience. Your responsibilities will include utilizing good time management skills to effectively and accurately complete work assignments, exercising good judgment and knowledge from the classroom setting, and applying research techniques, analytical methods, presentation skills, writing skills, and/or technical knowledge to the workplace. You will also adhere to company policies and procedures governing professional staff behavior. This internship is a great opportunity to develop your skills and gain experience in a professional work environment.

About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring

To be eligible for this internship, you must be working towards an undergraduate degree with the minimum credit hours to be classified as a junior or senior in your studies and have taken several related courses to the field in which you will be assigned. You must also be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as basic Solidworks/CAD knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office. You should also possess mechanical aptitude and be able to use small hand tools.
