Job Title: EHS Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented EHS Intern to join our team at General Dynamics NASSCO. As an EHS Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced EHS team to support environmental science, occupational health, industrial hygiene, and safety program development and enhancement.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of EHS programs and initiatives
  • Assist with environmental monitoring and sampling
  • Conduct research and analysis on EHS-related topics
  • Develop and maintain EHS-related documentation and records
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate EHS risks
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university program in a relevant field (e.g. environmental science, occupational health, industrial hygiene)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and computer-aided design and engineering (CAD/CAE) systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in EHS or a related field
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations related to EHS
  • Experience with environmental monitoring and sampling
