Position Title: PERMIT OPERATIONS MANAGER

COMPENSATION:
Anticipated bi-weekly salary range: $56, $72,944.30

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct Quality Assurance Reviews (QAR) of the Permit Office operations to ensure compliance with established performance metrics.
- Review and assist in the approval of monthly invoices submitted for payment by the permit office.
- Serve as a backup for technicians handling service desk tickets and requests related to the One Stop Permitting system.
- Monitor and report on changes in guidelines, policies, procedures, laws, and regulations affecting Permit Office operations. Assist in updating departmental documents accordingly.
- Provide monthly reviews and documentation for cases presented to the Commercial Motor Vehicle Review Board.
- Assist in the evaluation and approval of Overweight and Over-dimensional (OW/OD) permit applications referred to the Department. Ensure proper documentation of OW/OD permit applications is maintained.

MAINTENANCE OF RESOURCES:
- Update and manage segment maps utilized with the Automated System for Approximate Bridge Evaluation (ASABE), over-width maps and routes, and the statewide database for bridge/route restrictions based on vehicle category.
- Ensure timely publication and distribution of routine map updates.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of rules, statutes, and regulations related to Overweight and Overdimensional (OW/OD) vehicle permitting operations.
- Familiarity with Bridge Management and OW/OD Permit Office databases.
- Proficient in organizing and presenting data effectively.
- Competence in Permits Information Tracking System, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, Infonet, Microsoft Word, communication software, and Department Mainframe applications.
- Understanding of GIS technology.
- Ability to collect, record, and analyze data; research and track records and documents; verify map routes; and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Capable of planning, organizing, coordinating, and scheduling work assignments while meeting deadlines and maintaining effective working relationships.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- This position may require on-call responsibilities and the ability to respond during and after emergency situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent certification is required. Documentation may be required to verify meeting these qualifications.
