POSITION SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee designated purchasing sectors to ensure effective and economical operations.
  • Engage directly with vendors to uphold quality, cost, and delivery benchmarks, while following procurement guidelines.
  • Supervise and evaluate various suppliers, negotiate pricing, and assess inventory patterns.
  • Establish and nurture robust relationships with vendors, securing advantageous terms and pricing.
  • Issue purchase orders, manage inventory levels, and maintain optimal stock quantities.
  • Coordinate and monitor the logistics of goods, working alongside warehouse teams for prompt receipt.
  • Evaluate stock quality, reporting discrepancies to suppliers and management as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and supply chain, to synchronize procurement efforts with organizational goals.
  • Investigate and assess potential new supply sources, onboarding new vendors as required.
  • Handle requisitions and provide timely updates to management regarding order progress.
  • Identify areas for enhancing procurement processes, boosting efficiency, and improving overall effectiveness.
  • Adhere to all company policies and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CPIM) is advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or production planning role.
  • Experience in the energy sector is preferred.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, particularly Excel, is required.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with experience in procuring highly specialized products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong follow-up and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to drive issues to resolution and complete tasks in a professional and compliant manner.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet or exceed departmental standards.
  • Willingness to adapt and be cross-trained in all job functions.
