Job Summary

The Sourcing Specialist will play a key role in promoting and implementing tactical sourcing activities, while proactively managing assigned commodity and supply base. This position will construct RFx and be responsible for negotiating products or services from strategic suppliers. The Sourcing Specialist will establish and maintain supplier relationships to seek maximum value for the Company, including total cost of ownership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop RFx, Obtain and Analyze Quotations: Develop RFx, obtain and analyze quotations, lead sourcing efforts, and negotiate total cost elements for assigned commodity and with key suppliers, in line with Operation strategies.
  • Recommend Opportunities to Reduce Total Cost: Recommend opportunities to reduce total cost through new sources, substitutions, improved systems or methods, and other supply chain management techniques such as target costing, negotiations, etc.
  • Analyze Current Market Trends: Analyze current market trends and track appropriate indices for key components of the Company's business to anticipate price fluctuations and potential market shortages.
  • Review Contracts and Master Service Agreements: Review contracts and master service agreements for exceptions, negotiate changes, and assist with legal reviews.
  • Review and Interpret Complex Requirements: Review and interpret complex requirements, construct compliant and competitive proposal inputs, directly negotiate and manage large and complex Master Service Agreements and pricing contracts.
  • Identify and Manage New Product Development Opportunities: Identify and manage new product development opportunities and integrate new business units into the sourcing efforts.
  • Evaluate Alternative Proposals: Evaluate alternative proposals and select the most effective approach to meet objectives.
  • Identify and Select Suppliers: Identify and select suppliers that can provide the required quality, flexibility, reliability, and pricing for select services and commodities.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Participate in regular supplier audits and monitor key performance indicators (KPI's) through, but not limited to, quarterly and annual business reviews.
  • Maintain and Monitor the Approved Supplier List: Maintain and monitor the Approved Supplier List (ASL) with input and feedback from Operation.
  • Prepare Periodical Reports: Prepare periodical reports as agreed with management.
  • Immediate Reporting of Non-Conformances: Immediate reporting of non-conformances with follow up until resolved.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Related Field: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong Interpersonal and Analytical Skills: Strong interpersonal and analytical skills and the ability to work with internal and external contacts.
  • Proficient User of Microsoft Office Applications: Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong Organization and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong organization and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work independently with changing priorities.
  • Ability to Think Strategically: Ability to think strategically with excellent quantitative skills.
