CADD Designer III Job Description

C.T. Male Associates is seeking an experienced CADD Designer III to join our Civil Engineering and Land Services Division in our Latham office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project designs for Civil Engineering, Land Development, Renewable Energy, and other projects, including site civil plans, commercial site plans, residential subdivisions, engineering reports, design calculations, feasibility studies, specifications, construction details, construction plans, and technical documents.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplined design teams, communicate with clients, other consultants, and provide construction administration services as required.
  • Collaborate with municipal departments for permit applications, site plan reviews, and outside agency reviews.
  • Present to Planning Boards and the public as necessary.
  • Conduct site reconnaissance as required.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting and design while meeting deadlines.
  • Utilize and assist with technical detail library files for AutoCAD and maintain design software for the department.
  • Prepare design calculations, engineering reports, specifications, estimates, stormwater design, construction details, and drawings for projects.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and construction submittals as directed.
  • Maintain accurate and orderly files.
  • Adhere to C.T. Male drafting standards for producing construction drawings.
  • Verify accuracy of completed project work.
  • Participate in marketing and client maintenance efforts.
  • Mentor junior staff and collaborate with staff to execute deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Ten plus years of experience in a design role, including site, highway, infrastructure, and municipal design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, including surface modeling, pipe networks, and profiles.
  • Revit experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
