Job Opportunity

LaBella Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead our Municipal Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of project managers, design professionals, and technical support staff working with public sector clients and projects throughout the Capital District.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage projects for public sector clients, including municipal, county, state, and non-profit organizations.
  • Lead project development, client interaction, project management, and technical design efforts.
  • Manage project teams, including training and mentoring less experienced staff.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Collaborate with clients, project teams, and colleagues to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 15-20 years of practical experience in a professional consulting environment.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in New York is required.
  • Experience in civil/environmental engineering, with a focus on water resources engineering.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with public sector funding agencies and grants.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Occasional travel, primarily within New York State.
