Position Overview:

This role involves managing resident services in collaboration with property management, educational centers, and other service staff.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Participate in the assessment process for families seeking assistance through the Children's HOME Initiative.


2. Manage a caseload of up to 20 families enrolled in a supportive housing program designed for extremely low-income households.

3. Provide case management and referrals for residents facing significant social, emotional, or behavioral challenges, including those experiencing family trauma.4. Conduct regular meetings with families to identify their needs, set achievable goals, and monitor their progress towards enhanced personal stability.5. Utilize knowledge of best practices and evidence-based methods to inform case management strategies.

6. Uphold client self-determination while advocating for their needs, employing crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as necessary.


7. Facilitate access to resources and support from other social service providers, including referrals for therapeutic services for families under stress or facing mental health challenges.

8. Organize educational programs to help participants develop essential skills.


9. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide ongoing support for residents, addressing their needs through existing programs and community resources.


10. Ensure compliance with program and property guidelines, working with management to resolve housing-related issues.


11. Foster effective communication with all departments to create comprehensive service plans for each family.


12. Complete training in Financial Coaching and offer financial literacy support to families.


13. Support resident council meetings and outreach initiatives, which may include occasional weekend hours.


14. Maintain thorough documentation of all participant families in accordance with federal, state, and agency guidelines.


15. Attend all mandatory agency meetings and training sessions, including departmental and team meetings.


Minimum Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field, with a strong understanding of family dynamics, poverty, homelessness, and mental health issues.


• At least two years of experience in a professional setting providing trauma-informed services to diverse and/or unhoused populations.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in multiple languages, both written and spoken (English, Spanish, Arabic, and/or Pashto).
Work Environment:

• Multifamily housing community facing challenges related to housing instability and socioeconomic stressors. Ability to engage with a diverse population in a demanding work environment with at-risk youth and families.

Physical Requirements:

• General office tasks, including remaining seated for extended periods, with occasional standing and walking.

Compensation:

• $24.00/hour
