Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Dispatcher-2 HICKSVILLE to join our team at First Student. As a key member of our dispatch team, you will be responsible for overseeing all routes and scheduling of buses, ensuring on-time performance and providing excellent customer service.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in counseling and coaching drivers and monitors, handling heavy phone and radio traffic, and resolving scheduling and driver complaints. What We Offer

Responsibilities

* Oversee all routes and scheduling of buses* Counsel and coach drivers and monitors* Handle heavy phone and radio traffic* Resolve scheduling and driver complaints* Provide solutions to drop-off and pick-up problems* Perform miscellaneous clerical duties as needed* Complete special projects* Assist with supervision of day-to-day operations

Requirements

* 3-5 years of experience in terminal operations, dispatch, or driver experience* High school diploma or equivalent* Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment* Excellent communication and customer service skills* Ability to deliver under time constraints and deadlines* Computer literate* Subject to DOT drug testing and physical.
