Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant - Surgical Unit to join our team at Kent Hospital. The successful candidate will provide top-notch patient care and support services in a dynamic medical surgical unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support Registered Nurses in delivering high-quality patient care, including vital sign monitoring, intake/output management, and assistance with personal hygiene.
  2. Perform routine tasks and procedures as directed by healthcare professionals, such as giving enemas and reinforcing simple dressings.
  3. Contribute to maintaining a safe and organized workspace, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and significant events.
  5. Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to address patient concerns and needs.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Vocational/Technical training and relevant work experience (more than six months).
  • Current RI State Nursing Assistant license.

Compensation: Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
