Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Architect to join our team at DesignArc Group.

This role will be responsible for leading and executing business development and project planning for the K-12 and Higher Education sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture, business development, and project management, with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Identifying potential customers and developing strategic relationships
  • Assisting clients in early project development, including facilitation of in-house and external resources as required
  • Working with our funding source team to develop proposals and interview processes for K-12 and Higher Education projects
  • Developing marketing plans for K-12 and Higher Education projects
  • Attending trade shows and conferences to promote our services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master of Architecture from an accredited university and current architectural registration/licensure
  • At least 6 years of post-graduate experience in the planning, design, documentation, and construction of K-12, Higher Education & Healthcare Sector
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency (BIM360, Revit, Bluebeam, MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Advanced knowledge of building code and life safety issues, understanding K-12 & Higher Education workflow and exposure to process improvement activities and productivity systems such as LEED AP or WELL AP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k program, paid maternity/paternity leave, short-term disability insurance, flex time, work-from-home opportunities, paid volunteer hours, generous PTO, holiday pay, staff social hour, learning opportunities, complimentary snacks and beverages, and quarterly staff outings.

Location

This position is located in Sioux Falls, SD, and requires in-office attendance.
