Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Post-Award Research Administrator to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. As a key member of our research administration team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our faculty and staff in managing sponsored research projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide central email inbox coordination, workflow information dissemination, and electronic file record organization.
  • Establish a centralized reminder system for important grant data and reports.
  • Assist with team meeting scheduling, minutes, and coordination.
  • Work with the COERA Senior Award Research Administrator to provide ad hoc projected expenditure reports and perform budget transfers on sponsored research accounts.
  • Process post-award account actions, including end date adjustments.
  • Attend project kickoff meetings and provide guidance on subaward invoicing and transactional allowability.
  • Assist with audits involving COE sponsored research accounts and work with OSP Post-ward to rectify sponsor invoicing and/or receivables issues.
  • Provide cost share, invoicing, and financial reporting guidance to faculty and staff.
  • Assist with annual and ad hoc reporting, including pre and post award financial data.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsored project transaction review requests through COERA.
  • Assist PI in interpreting grant needs and restrictions, costing allocation considerations, and appropriate justification documentation and information gathering.
  • Coordinate with COERA staff on follow-up actions and determinations.
  • Coordinate with Center or Department staff for further transaction actions.

You will also need to have a strong understanding of research administration principles and practices, as well as experience with sponsored research projects.
