Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our crisis intervention team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessments, diagnostic formulations, and treatment recommendations to clients in need of behavioral health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial comprehensive assessments of clients, including clinical interviews and contact with collateral providers, natural supports, and family members as necessary.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including client strengths, preferences, and behaviorally based goals and objectives.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services as needed.
  • Coordinate care on behalf of clients, including referrals to indicated services and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case discussions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a clinical course of study in behavioral health (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or related field) that meets the academic requirements for independent licensure in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Actively working towards licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT.
  • Satisfactory CORI background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensure as LMHC, LCSW, LMFT.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

  • Work is indoors in a patient-focused setting.
  • Must be able to move about the space periodically during the shift.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds for various needs.
