Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team at Tekni-Plex. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the consistent quality of our production, meeting both external and internal requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Management System: Develop and maintain a plant-level quality management system, including quality manuals and auditing of practices.
- Process Improvement: Lead validation processes using statistical sampling plans to develop process stability characteristics, and work with the manufacturing and R&D teams to implement design of experiments to test processes for improvements.
- Supplier Management: Drive plant standards, procedures, and program plans for achieving and maintaining the required level of product quality, reliability, and functional validity, including supplier programs and audits.
- Performance Measurement: Manage the plant quality performance measurement systems to promote and implement continuous quality improvements, and ensure the establishment of test protocols.
- Training and Development: Provide plant personnel training on quality assurance & SQF/HACCP topics to improve employee knowledge base throughout the division.
- Leadership and Management: Plan and coordinate work, train, motivate, monitor, and evaluate the performance of quality employees, and ensure their ability to safely operate testing equipment.
- Budgeting and Planning: Responsible for budgets and business planning for the department, and establish and meet department goals and objectives.
- Quality and Customer Complaints: Track, analyze, and lead plant initiatives for quality and customer complaint issues within the division, including supplier issues and internal non-conformances.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required.
- Six Sigma certification, internal SQF/HACCP auditor certification, or other relevant quality management certifications is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment, including hands-on experience with implementing and maintaining plant-level quality management systems.
- In-depth knowledge of SQF, HACCP, and other relevant quality standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail, self-directed leadership, and ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
