Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Audio Visual Field Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused individual to progress their career in the technology sector. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a career in our fast-paced industry through training and development opportunities
  • Undergo training to progress to the next level of Install Technician
  • Develop knowledge of architectural site drawings and audio-visual system diagrams
  • Coordinate tasks and activities onsite, communicating with clients and allied trades
  • Conduct accurate site surveys, including progress of construction activities and required consumables
  • Understand cable types and connectors, and develop skills in termination and testing
  • Develop awareness of tools required for termination and safekeeping
  • Use cable pull schedules to physically pull cables in a construction environment
  • Install mounting hardware, including bracketry for display, projectors, speakers, and floormounts/stands
  • Prepare hardware for rackbuilding, including recording asset data
  • Develop skills in basic rackbuilding, including cable management, routing, labeling, and cable support structures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Responsible for ownership and maintenance of issued toolkit and installation materials inventories
  • Ensure accurate timesheets are recorded and submitted
  • Provide daily reporting of site progress to site lead technician or project manager
Requirements
  • Experience in the AV/VC industry (preferable but not necessary)
  • Engineering mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment under pressure
  • Independent and confident thinking, self-motivation, and determination
  • Agility and a strong sense of urgency
  • Eligibility to work and travel globally when required
  • Responsibility and reliability, with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Good organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change and hours of work
