Controller Job Description

At Chnk Behavioral Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee accounting operations, financial management, and preparation of internal and external financial reports.
  • Supervise the business office and ensure functions are conducted in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Oversee the Director of Revenue Cycle and billing department, as well as the Director of Digital First Strategy.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of all financial records and supporting documents.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow for the administration.
  • Oversee payroll administration and record keeping.
  • Responsible for the filing of the 990 and all other federal and state reports.
  • Responsible for the financial audit and review of the 403B audit.
  • Oversee contract management and monitor compliance in financial and administrative areas.
  • Serve as a business partner to the CEO and other officers on the corporation's financial, budgeting, and administrative processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate multi-peril, commercial liability, and disability insurance coverage.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources to negotiate benefits with appropriate vendors annually.
  • Oversee equipment operations, including maintenance and service of all agency equipment.
  • Investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance carriers.
  • Assist the CFO and/or CEO in the preparation of reports or responses relative to accreditation and certification by federal, state, or other governing bodies.
  • Maintain accurate equipment and supply inventories.
  • Work with the Chief Philanthropy Officer in the preparation of financial reports and assist with management of donations received.
  • Assist in evaluation of financial consequences of decisions, and in strategic planning.
  • Obtain contracts for capital improvement, major repairs, or contracted service provision.
  • Attend required trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CFO or CEO.
