Job Summary

As a Quality Assurance Inspector at thyssenkrupp, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and materials. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect raw materials and products, audit production practices and processes, and report on non-conformances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Test: Accurately inspect raw materials and products visually, as well as with gauges, scales, or other measurement instruments as required and according to work instructions.
  • Segregate Non-Conforming Materials: Segregate non-conforming parts or material.
  • Document and Record: Complete required documentation for work performed.
  • Data Entry: Perform data entry of work results into appropriate databases.
  • Final Inspection: Perform final inspection to reconcile outgoing shipments, as required.
  • Root Cause Analysis: May be required to identify causes of non-conformance.
  • Meet TKMNA Attributes: Meet all TKMNA employee attributes and competencies.
Requirements:
  • Safety Orientation: This is a Safety Sensitive role, the company is dedicated to the safety of all employees, and we are looking for candidates that are safety oriented to join our team.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems.
  • Measurement Instrument Knowledge: Ability to learn correct use of basic measurement instruments (tape measure, scales, gauges).
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Inspection Skills: Ability to accurately inspect basic material, commodities, and/or processes.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Quality Assurance Education: Some college courses or certificates in Quality Assurance-related field of study.
  • Measurement Instrument Experience: Prior experience using basic measurement instruments.
  • Quality Assurance Experience: Prior experience in a quality assurance inspection position.
Work Schedule:
  • Shift Availability: 2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs (2:30pm - 1:00am).
