Role Summary

The Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting advanced hemodynamic monitoring procedures and assisting physicians during various interventions. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, ranging from adolescents to seniors. Additionally, the specialist will provide training to Cardiovascular Technicians and other personnel within the Cath Lab. The position requires the completion of established competencies during the introductory period, along with other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Graduate of a certificate or degree-granting program in health science or equivalent education.

Preferred Education: Not specified.

Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of experience in interventional Cath Lab or Electrophysiology.

Preferred Experience: Not applicable.

Required Certifications/Licensure: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES).

Preferred Certifications/Licensure: Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT).

Required Courses/Completions:

  • Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire (ARC or AHA); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
  • AHA ACLS certification must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the role.
