Position Overview:
The Radiologic Imaging Specialist is responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic X-ray images as per physician directives. This role includes performing standard diagnostic procedures and may require functioning in a Medical Assistant capacity when necessary. The specialist positions patients appropriately and adjusts equipment settings to capture X-rays in accordance with established protocols. Clear instructions are provided to patients regarding the procedures, while monitoring their vital signs throughout the examination.

Safety and Compliance:
Adherence to prescribed safety standards is crucial when operating radiologic equipment. The specialist maintains precise radiology records as instructed and documents all completed procedures accurately. Routine paperwork is processed and reports are filed systematically.

Technical Responsibilities:
The role involves selecting the appropriate length and intensity of radiation exposure by adjusting equipment based on individual patient needs. The specialist examines radiologic films for essential properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion. Additionally, the specialist develops and processes radiologic films, ensuring timely delivery to radiologists for interpretation.

Facility Maintenance:
Maintaining examination rooms is a key responsibility, which includes stocking necessary medical and radiologic supplies to ensure a smooth workflow.

Qualifications:
- Completion of a radiologic technology program accredited by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Preferred one year of experience in the role of a radiologic technologist.
- Current state licensure and certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Certifications:
- Current BLS certification.
