Nightwing is in search of a seasoned and cleared Senior Construction Operations Manager in the Herndon, VA vicinity.

The successful candidate will engage within a client environment, both autonomously and as part of a specialized client/contractor team. They will act as a construction supervisor for a complex fit-out initiative in the NOVA region, tackling project execution challenges and crafting innovative solutions to ensure productivity, quality, and client satisfaction objectives are achieved. This individual will serve as the main liaison between client personnel and other stakeholders, facilitating project execution requirements. Additionally:

  • Utilize extensive knowledge in at least one trade/discipline.
  • Collaborate with a designated General Contractor to meet all construction project needs.
  • Evaluate A/E and construction service necessities, and draft Statements of Work to obtain these services.
  • Examine and interpret A/E construction documents and specifications.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • Ability to effectively convey technical and non-technical topics to varied audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with CONUS construction practices and SCIF space standards.
  • Previous experience with contracting practices and procedures.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to formulate construction cost estimates.
  • Understanding of local county code requirements and inspection protocols.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including MS Project.

Education:

  • University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience unless restricted by local laws/regulations.

Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly and be crossover eligible.
