About the Role

Mead & Hunt is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer to join our Transportation team. This role will involve working on rural and urban highway design, including geometric layout, drainage design, and corridor modeling.

Responsibilities
  • Perform highway design and construction inspection on projects working under the guidance of a senior engineer.
  • Prepare design reports and preliminary and final plans of roadways, intersections, interchanges, and roundabouts.
  • May work with the aviation team assisting with the design or construction inspection of related projects.
  • A valid driver's license and some travel will be required.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a similar discipline from an accredited four-year college.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in highway design and construction.
  • Preferred qualifications include a PE license in WI, knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, WisDOT, and local design guidelines and manuals, and experience with WisDOT/MnDOT highway construction.
