We are looking for a detail-oriented Material Library Coordinator to assist in the development and management of our Material Library and its associated processes.

This role involves careful management of both digital data and physical materials, along with a proactive approach to information gathering from various sources.

The successful candidate will effectively juggle multiple responsibilities, including establishing library systems and addressing existing information gaps to modernize our library.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Develop and maintain a thorough library of textile materials, ensuring it contains up-to-date technical specifications, testing data, and version control throughout the product development lifecycle.

2. Efficiently manage the intake and organization of new materials, both digitally and physically, which includes data entry, labeling, and proper storage.


3. Act as the main point of contact with suppliers to communicate requirements for Technical Data Sheets, Shipping SOPs, RSL, and to obtain the latest material catalogs, test reports, SDS, MSDS, and other relevant information.


4. Oversee the distribution and version control of development textiles, ensuring that all cross-functional teams have access to the most current information.


5. Request, coordinate, and verify sample materials from suppliers for testing and prototyping, managing their distribution to various departments.


6. Maintain the digital library database with accurate material information, create internal part numbers, and organize material folders.


7. Ensure the physical library is well-organized by preparing material swatches, creating labels and headers, and ordering necessary supplies for library upkeep.


8. Conduct research to identify potential new sources for high-quality materials and samples, collaborating with the engineering team for alignment and selection.


QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Strong organizational skills.
2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
3. Proficient in Google Suite and digital file management.
4. Basic understanding of fabrics and material categories.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
6. Keen attention to detail.
7. Experience in managing physical and digital materials.
8. Background in designing systems for libraries, cataloging, inventory management, logistics, or related fields is highly desirable.
