Position Overview

The Supply Chain Distribution Specialist is responsible for conducting thorough physical assessments of supply zones, including patient care and ancillary locations. This role involves utilizing the Material Management System to accurately input data and generate picking tickets. The specialist will efficiently select items as per the specifications outlined in the pick tickets and ensure timely delivery and stocking of materials across various supply areas.

Additionally, the role includes managing stock rotation from the warehouse to designated clean distribution zones, adhering to a first-in/first-out methodology for items without manufacturer expiration dates. For items with expiration dates, stock rotation will follow an earliest expiration first-out approach. Regular interactions with both internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, patients, and vendors, are a key aspect of this position.

Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1 year of recent experience (within the last 5 years) in a Supply Chain setting, utilizing a computerized Materials Management Information System.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of coursework or training in inventory and supply distribution management.
  • Forklift certification upon hire.
  • Experience within a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.
