We are seeking a highly skilled Addiction Medicine Consult Specialist Physician to provide expert care to patients at Denver Health Hospital. As a consulting physician, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to diagnose and treat children and adults with complex co-occurring medical and psychiatric disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain relevant medical histories, make appropriate diagnoses, and implement effective addiction treatment plans.
- Consult with medical providers to ensure comprehensive care for patients with addiction and psychiatric disorders.
- Teach medical students and advanced trainees in nationally accredited training programs.
- Participate in scholarly addiction research and quality improvement projects.
- Doctorate degree from an accredited medical school.
- Prior experience working with substance use disorder patient populations.
- Board certification in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry.
- Knowledge of professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
- Competitive salary range: $221,000 - $260,100 per year.
