Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement applications to deliver effective solutions for business units.
  • Provide ongoing support for all financial systems and associated applications.
  • Deliver technical leadership and direction to Operations and Development teams.
  • Identify, investigate, resolve, and document technical challenges within existing Hyperion applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for the installation of third-party software systems and oversee system performance.
  • Lead the design of new product features and enhancements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Work closely with the support team to troubleshoot complex business and technical challenges efficiently.
  • Address HFM technical and functional issues as well as database concerns by collaborating with functional users, technical staff, and extended support teams.
  • Modify existing software to rectify errors, introduce new functionalities, adapt for new integrations, or enhance performance.
  • Monitor and optimize overall system performance.
  • Provide prompt responses and resolutions to urgent production inquiries, issues, and defects.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop testing plans.
  • Engage with users on business matters and coordinate necessary changes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of development experience with the Oracle Hyperion suite of products, particularly HFM, FDMEE, and EPBCS.
  • Experience in designing workflows and managing metadata in HFM.
  • Familiarity with both on-premise and cloud-based Hyperion applications.
  • Understanding of techno-functional areas and concepts related to Trial Balance, General Ledger, Profit & Loss statements, and Balance Sheets.
  • Expertise in metadata management, rules, Intercompany Pricing (ICPs), and Visual Basic (VB) scripting.
  • Proficiency in VB scripts and at least one other programming or scripting language.
  • Experience in reviewing design documents with a focus on Financial Consolidation Close, recommending optimal approaches to both business and implementation partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present organized and thorough information and data tailored to the intended audience.
  • Leadership and collaboration skills with the capability to effectively supervise, coach, and influence team members.
  • Aptitude for identifying opportunities to enhance accuracy and optimize resources; able to develop, recommend, and implement solutions.
  • Ability to act as a subject matter expert and provide training, troubleshooting, and support for software applications managed by IT (HFM, EPBCS).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, or Oracle certifications) are not mandatory.
  • An accounting background is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
