The role of a Facility Maintenance Attendant involves a variety of essential custodial responsibilities aimed at ensuring a clean and safe environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and dusting to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Oversee the upkeep of designated areas such as restrooms, offices, breakrooms, and communal spaces, with potential duties in examination rooms.
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying trash bins and replacing liners as necessary.
  • Sanitize surfaces, fixtures, windows, and equipment to promote hygiene.
  • Conduct floor maintenance activities including vacuuming, sweeping, waxing, and buffing.
  • Regularly patrol the premises to ensure cleanliness and security.
  • Perform groundskeeping tasks, which may involve litter collection, weed removal, and snow or ice management.
  • Inspect doors, windows, and gates to maintain security protocols.
  • Report any irregularities or maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, quality assurance measures, and safety standards.
  • May be required to cover multiple locations as needed.
  • Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Carry out additional job-related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of six months of relevant experience in custodial or maintenance roles.
  • Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
